Memory Keepers is the culmination of the 6th edition of Goa Open Arts' annual Catalyst and Engage Artist Grants presented with the support of exhibiting partner, Sunaparanta Goa Centre for the Arts.

The exhibition brings together artists who reflect on how fragments of memory shape personal and collective histories. Explored through theatre, installation, photography, film, and participatory projects, the works trace memories that travel across generations and places. A play revisits the life of a Goan artist, while reflections on folk theatre consider how traditions evolve over time. Clay forms, photographs, submerged landscapes, and neighbourhood stories uncover personal inheritances, erased identities, and everyday acts of remembering. Together, the artists reveal that memory is something we continually shape, reinterpret, and carry forward through stories, places, and gestures, turning individuals and communities into its keepers.
