This exhibition brings together six artists living and working in Goa who delve into the act of storytelling—through mythology, folklore, folk art, ecological reflection, and the fragmented realities of a post-truth world. Their works are threaded with personal mythologies and cultural references, exploring the ways in which narratives are shaped, reshaped, and reborn in contemporary contexts.
Through a range of media and approaches, each artist offers a reinterpretation of lived experience, filtered through the lenses of memory, place, and imagination. The exhibition is the result of a Catalyst Grant awarded by Goa Open Arts in 2020, initiated in response to the Covid-19 pandemic as a gesture of solidarity and sustained support for the artistic community of Goa.
At its heart, the exhibition invites viewers to consider storytelling as a transformative and connective act—one that bridges the personal and the collective, the past and the present, the real and the reimagined.
