A Dream in the Balcao is a fundraising initiative to support the activities of Goa Open Arts, with a percentage of sales directed towards the initiative while the remaining proceeds going to the participating artists. The exhibition aims to encourage art collecting within the local community by offering works at accessible prices while promoting contemporary artistic practices in Goa.

The exhibition features works of 17 artists from Goa and its title is borrowed from the work of artist Pakhi Sen. It draws inspiration from the Balcao, the traditional Goan porch, symbolizing a space of transition—between the comfort of home and the vast possibilities of the world outside. The participating artists explore this metaphor through diverse artistic expressions, reflecting on life on either side of this threshold.
